Single.Earth has appointed two new executive team members, with Oksana Tolmatshova starting as Chief Strategy Officer and Jens Kasemets as Chief Product Officer.
"I am excited about Single.Earth’s unique idea of creating a new payment infrastructure for all consumers and businesses to redirect money from consumption to nature conservation," said Tolmatshova, who joined the company this month.
“After twenty years in banking and fintech, I see a real possibility for financial services to directly contribute to solving environmental problems linked to our planet’s biodiversity,” she said.
Tolmatshova joined Single.Earth from Oslo-based Opera, which in 2019 acquired Estonian fintech Pocosys, which she was heading. Before this, she had a 15-year career at Swedbank and its predecessor Hansapank.
“It was our mutual wish for her to contribute on a more strategic level to help the company achieve our short and long-term goals. She has decades of experience under her belt to help us navigate in the fintech space,” said Single.Earth Chief Executive, Merit Valdsalu.
Berlin-based Jens Kasemets will be overseeing product managers and the design team. Kasemets worked for years at collaboration platform, Wire, before joining Single.Earth last year.
“If you combine changing the world, making it better, and the crypto world, then you get Single.Earth,” Kasemets said.
