Single.Earth Chosen For Mastercard Lighthouse Program

Mastercard Lighthouse has selected Single.Earth among 14 other startups for its Fall 2021 FINITIV program.

“We’re excited to build collaboration with banks and other financial institutions in the Mastercard program,” said Single.Earth CEO and cofounder Merit Valdsalu.

“It’s a fantastic opportunity for us to make our nature-backed MERIT tokens available for a wider audience, for retail and commercial, and also design it together with the world’s leading fintech innovators,” Valdsalu said.

Mastercard launched Lighthouse FINITIV program to build lasting partnerships with the goal of strengthening the financial ecosystem in the Nordic and Baltic regions. The FINITIV program brings startups, banks, investors and advisors together to scale innovative ideas.

During the three-month program, companies will be able to meet in a one-on-one setting with all the program partners and eventually pitch in front of investors.

From Estonia, companies like Salv, Everypay, Costpocket and Feelingstream have participated in the Lighthouse program before.
